Emergency School closure 03.10.25

Dear Parent

I have just received a message from the Chief Executive of EA instructing schools that we are to close school today at 12 noon.  There is an amber weather warning in place which covers counties Antrim, Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh. The weather warning is from 3pm to 8:00pm and is predicting a "spell of damaging winds on Friday afternoon and evening." It is cited that there is potential for power cuts and damage to buildings, including a risk of injuries from flying debris.

Please arrange for your child to be collected from school at this time. I will inform the bus driver and also Sleepy Hollow of the early closure.

Please note that there will be no school dinners. Refunds will be issued.
